This is an article written about photographer dave anderson and the reactions to his photographs of the town Vidor in texas, The book he produced called 'Rough Beauty' sparked up debates of the towns racial politics, even though he claims that this was not his aim in the first place. This article is definately worth a read if if your looking at whether or not you have control over the meaning of your photographs.

The artist nick waplington made his name early in his career with his work the 'Living Room' where he looks at the working class, his photos dont seem to put these familys in a place of less importance but rather show their happiness within their own existence. In some ways his style reminds me of Martin Parr, but standing slightly further away from his subject, and not making the working class look so stereotypical to how we see them. There is a definite decisive moment factor to be seen in these imges. He has a certain waiting for the right moment quality rather than making the moment.
